How to Make a Water Elevator in Minecraft

We all know that Minecraft has so many moving pieces, that is why players will want to try out all of the various constructions that they can build in their world. In order to move fast in a building, you will need an elevator in Minecraft. Luckily just like the other items in the game, you can easily create an elevator for your use.

There are a variety of methods to make an elevator to move fast up and down various stories of a building.

This article focuses on a set of elevators that utilize water to lift and lower you. You won’t drown inside because the approach we are utilizing will produce air bubbles for you as you travel up and down the stairs.

No one likes to spend their days running up and down stairwells, so keep reading to see how to build a fast and simple water elevator for your Minecraft seed.

To begin, gather at least one iron bucket that can hold water, your choice of building blocks, one block of soul sand, one magma block, and two signs of any type. Three iron bars may be used to make each iron bucket.

Collect some water source blocks from an ocean or river as you’re making them. The soul sand and magma cube may be discovered throughout the underworld, but be careful to bring armor since the nether is highly deadly.

We prefer glass blocks for the construction blocks since they seem a bit cooler, but it doesn’t matter what you use as long as you have a lot of them to form a wall.

To initiate, start by constructing a column using your construction pieces. You want to encircle a single block with nothing but free space rising. Dig out the floor level one block below and insert your soul sand in the midst of your column.

On the soul sand, build a two-block-high boardwalk with two signage on either side. These signs will prevent water from spilling out of the elevator while still allowing you to pass through. Place water in the open slot at the top of your elevator to have it flow all the way down to the soul sand. If you don’t have a water source block in every place of the elevator, it won’t operate. If you see the water going upwards with bubbles in it, you’ve done it correctly.

Step inside, and the water will rush you to the top, and because of the bubbles flowing beside you, you will not drown, as said at the start of the book.

Now that you’ve figured out how to go up, it’s time to figure out how to go down. Follow the same instructions as previously, except instead of soul sand, place the magma block at the bottom. You should observe bubbles moving down towards the magma block if you did everything correctly.
