How to Play Steam Games on Oculus Quest

How to Play Steam Games on Oculus Quest

If you want to play Steam games on Oculus Quest 2 then you have come to the right place. In this article, we will discuss how you can do that by using different methods. So, let’s get started with today’s post.

By Using a Cable:

You can play Steam games on the Quest 2 by using a cable. For this method, you will have to follow the below-mentioned steps:

  • You’ll need a USB-C cable long enough to connect your Quest 2 headset to your computer. Look for a 15-foot cable, such as the Oculus Link Cable, for the greatest results.
  • If you haven’t already, download and install the Quest 2 desktop software as well as Steam.
  • Turn on your Quest 2 and attach it to your computer using the USB wire.
  • Open the Quest desktop software, select Devices from the left menu pane, and then Add Headset. To connect your headset to your computer, select Quest 2 and follow the on-screen instructions.
  • Click Link (Cable) and then Continue after you’re finished with the settings.
  • Open the Steam app and launch Steam VR. You should now be able to access your Steam VR game collection through your headset.

The second method involves using Air Link to wirelessly play Steam games on the Quest 2.

To play Steam VR games on the Quest 2, you don’t need a USB cord; instead, use Oculus AirLink to connect wirelessly.

The negative is that you’ll need a strong WiFi signal, and performance can be spotty at times, but you’ll be able to play Steam VR games without using a cable when it works.

  • If you haven’t already, download and install the Quest 2 desktop software as well as Steam.
  • Open the Quest app and go to Settings, then select Beta from the left pane.
  • To activate Air Link, swipe the button to the right.
  • To enter the home menu, put on your Quest 2 headset and press the Oculus button on the right controller. From the drop-down menu, choose Oculus Air Link.

Select your computer from the Air Link pop-up if necessary, then click Launch. You should now be able to access your Steam VR game collection through your headset.
