Oculus Quest 2 is a VR headset that can be used to access a lot of VR games as well as the Metaverse. Oculus Quest 2 is now simply marketed by the name of Quest 2 under its parent company, Meta.
The Oculus Quest 2 features a lot of amazing features. One of the most innovative features of this VR Headset is hand tracking.
The Hand Tracking Feature converts your hands into game controllers. As you know, hand tracking is not always possible to use in every game. That is why the Oculus Quest 2 box is also included with controllers which ease the overall experience for you.
The Quest 2 controllers make it extremely convenient for the users to use the system. However, the only downfall is the battery. As the controller batteries drain very quickly, that is why it is very important for users to know how to maintain them charged and ready to use.
Unfortunately, the Quest 2 controllers are not rechargeable, as each is powered by a single AA disposable AA Alkaline Battery.
By default, the controllers do not have a charging wire, dock, or rechargeable battery system.
When the battery level is low, remove the battery cover from the controller. Look for the arrow etched on the top edge of the cover — it’s barely visible — and press the cover down toward the bottom of the grip in the direction of the arrow. It could be tough to move, so place your thumb on the imprinted arrow and slide with it.
Once the lid has been removed, remove the old AA battery and dispose of it. Remove the old battery and replace it with a new one before replacing the cover.
If you want to use rechargeable AA batteries instead of disposable ones, you’ll have to remove them and recharge them outside the controller when they run out. For a modest price, you may get a pack of AA rechargeable batteries and a charger.
Another option is to purchase an accessory such as the Charging Dock, which includes rechargeable batteries and removable battery covers for the controllers, allowing them to stay charged when docked.
