Can You Play Fortnite on Nintendo Switch?

For those who are unfamiliar with the game, Fortnite is an online Battle Royale game that is available for free. That means, in Fortnite players do not have to pay to participate. 

As for the gameplay, one hundred players compete against each other in player vs. player combat to see who can be the last person standing once the game has been downloaded and booted.

Fortnite also offers DLC seasons that are separate from the game’s gameplay and let players earn special items through a battle pass, participate in different limited-time game modes, and introduce fresh map alterations that can have an impact on how games are played. 

Thanks to the fact that practically all of this information is available on every platform, no one gets left behind.

Fortnite on Nintendo Switch:

Having acquired a free Nintendo Account, gamers will be able to access downloaded titles for the Nintendo Switch via the Nintendo eShop after the account has been activated. 

Thanks to the Nintendo Account system, any software that players purchase is associated with their Nintendo Account and may be played on their primary Nintendo Switch console. As well as additional Nintendo Switch consoles to which they have linked their Nintendo Account.

Players must first start the Nintendo eShop by selecting “Nintendo eShop” from the HOME Menu, which will take them to the Fortnite download page. 

They can then look for the coveted game by putting “Fortnite” into the search bar on the left side of the screen. As a result, if customers click on Fortnite’s cover image, they will be taken to its product description page, where they will be given the option to “Proceed to Purchase.” 

By pressing the aforementioned button, Fortnite will be downloaded on the Nintendo Switch.

However, in order to access the Fortnite multiplayer features, gamers will need to subscribe to the Nintendo Switch Online service. 

This is a service, similar to PlayStation Plus and Xbox Live, that charges gamers a subscription of $20 per year in exchange for the ability to participate in the online multiplayer component of video games.
